East City are Champions of New Zealand!
Two East City representative teams attended the Nationals in Wellington over the weekend of 12th/13th December with wonderful results.
The senior men’s team (East City Blue) went through the tournament unbeaten and rightly earned the title of National Champions for 2009 with a hard-fought win over Capital City futsal in the final.
The Youth Development squad (East City Red) exceeded all expectations in making the semi-finals of the senior men’s competition (getting knocked out by their older East City mates!) and finished fourth overall after a penalty shootout defeat in their last game.
